I don't know why but I felt very anxious and nervous. I didn't felt this way last year. Maybe because we went with a 'play-for-fun' mentality. This time around, it's the 'we-want-to-win' mentality.

I blame last year's Runners' Up prize for causing me distress now....

12 days.

12 days since Charmaine was born. I think its considered a 'big' thing because we had a small feast today. All the aunties are invited to my brother's house for the feast. What's in the menu, you asked? Well, 2 main things are in there. 1) 'gai jau' (translated as 'chicken cooked in chinese liquor') and 2) 'chu geok chou' or pork legs in vinegar. Both of these are supposed to be confinement food...

Bowling.

I think the last time I ever bowled was 6 months ago. Or maybe even longer than that. Today we (me, Cyndi and Erik) bowled mainly because we wanna practise for the upcoming 'competition'. We did fine, I think.

We got no idea who and how our competitors gonna be like this year. Kinda scary just thinking about it. Being runners' up last year was amazing. Something we've never expected as we joined the competition just for fun. Hopefully, we win something this year. *fingers-crossed*

By the way, I bought a toy for baby Charmaine. A cute 'lil monkey for a monkey girl!

Baby Blues.

By the way, my mom said she looked like me... for today. Some said she got my eyes and my chin. Hmmm... if that's true, she's definitely a pretty girl next time! Hahahaha!!

Bug.

The cold bug caught up with me. Had slight headache today and a major one yesterday. I have to blame it on the weather.... and the late night mahjong session. Blegh. Anyway, there was a super storm on one day, and hellish hot on another. So...mainly its the weather that made me suffer.

On a happier note, I carried Charmaine for the first time today!! Yay!! And she opened an eye to look at me. *Grin* By the way, if you are wondering who is this Charmaine I am talking about, she's my ever-adorable niece! Do I have a proud look on my face.....?

Yesterday, it was only 9 of us in the family. Today, there's an addition. Yay!!! I am an auntie, so what?! At least I got a baby to play with!!

Because of the Chinese superstition and the 'pantang-larang', we are supposed to say all the opposite stuffs in front of the baby. For example, we gotta say that she's an ugly baby (though she's not!). So...she's a REALLY ugly baby!!!!

My doggie is hurt! Smart-aleck was fighting with another dog and got bitten on the neck. 2 really deep puncture holes and it require stitching. That shall teach him some lesson!

Hong Kong Pineapple Bun
Made pineapple bun today. Never knew these bun are so fattening! Anyway, it does not taste like those i ate in Hong Kong. Of course, those taste better but mine aren't too bad either!

Electric Girl
Bought Miriam's latest CD today from Tower Records. RM43.90 for an imported CD. Not too bad. Listening to it now. Like her previous CDs, her 'power ballads' are really good.

By the way, the whole award presentation thing was pathetic. Bad organization. Bad emcee. Attendance was pathetic as well. Sigh. I expected better since its the "big-shot" student creative awards...

Paper-cut.

Hate it. Got few paper-cuts today from work. One even peeled off bits of my skin.

Today's work is a little bit more interesting that yesterday's. Handed out brochures and tried to communicate with the customers. Well, I failed miserably and at the end, went into hiding behind the booth.... *blush*

King Arthur.

This is what I call a great movie!!! Waaaaaaaayyyyyy better than Troy. At least the whole war thing didn't started because of a woman. Sigh. The war strategy in King Arthur was good. Though it started quite draggy, it moved on quite interestingly. The only part they censored is the passionate part between Arthur and Guinevere. *rolls eyes*.

I'm embarrassed to admit, but I got my first-ever job today. *blush* Working for 3 days for my brother in Mid Valley Exhibition Centre. Though I spent the whole day stamping address onto the brochures, I still had fun. *denial* Well, besides that, I don't think I can do anything else. I've not gain enough knowledge about his products to promote to people!

Wishlist.

What's there not to like about these iPod Mini? Sigh. Probably the price. RM1299 for one. Anyway, I really like the blue and green model. The green is exactly the same colour as the VW Beetle.


AirPort card. It's a network card to you PC guys out there. Retailing at RM359. To think of it, I don't really need the card. Not like I will utilise the wireless Internet connections at the cafes anyway... *denial*

Supper.

Bought Fish McDippers and the new Prawn Wrappers. Both tasted fine but I personally think it's not worth the money, especially the prawn. 6 measly prawns wrapped in wanton skins and given a funky name, it cost me around RM5.60. Sigh. No wonder McDonald's is so rich.

Aircon.

The old aircon is officially dead. Dad bought a new aircon and its super cold now. Brrrrr...

Watched 'Monsoon Wedding' in Penny's Cross-Cultural class today. It's a movie about an Indian wedding. Too many casts are introduced and by the end of the movie, I still have no idea who is actually related to whom.

Mac.

Accompanied a friend to Ikano Power Station's Apple Experience Centre. She bought a 12-inch iBook G4 for RM4299 (plus free Airport Extreme Card and other goodies!) Found out from the guy that there's this software that enable Mac users to use their Bluetooth handphones from the Mac itself. Meaning, I can actually call, listen, send sms, etc. all from my computer. In another words, my computer is also my hand phone. Get?

Oh, and there's another. Sony Ericsson phones can actually become a remote control for Macs! Whoaaa... The phones can be used to on the computer, shut down, play music, play DVDs, blablablaaa...

Suddenly I began to love my Mac even more...

Spidey.

Spiderman 2. TGV. Full house.

There's nothing much to say about the movie. It's watchable. And enjoyable.

Spoilers alert! Discontinue reading if you intend to watch it!

I guess Spidey 2 was more a girls' movie than a guys'. It's emotional. It's more on the Peter Parker-Mary Jane relationship. Basically, it's more on the stuffs guys aren't interested in, except on the action scenes which came at the end of the movie. Anyway, the train scene kept me on the edge of my seat. And the effects throughout the movie was kinda cool. All those webs and swings. There won't be Spidey 3, would there? Considering the fact that MJ and Harry knows about Peter's alter ego. I've been wondering. Is it really Tobey Maguire underneath the Spidey costume? I mean, nobody could tell if it's a stuntman all along....

Back to real life, I have yet to study for IMC. 4 chapters. Can I manage to study (or maybe, read) all those in 1 day? Sigh. Double sigh.

My brother was laughing at me. Grrrr.. He seemed happy that my aircond is out. Hate him!

H-O-T

This is a nightmare! The worst thing that can happen to anybody. Over 30 degrees celcius outside and I am stuck in my room WITHOUT an aircon! It's stuffy. It's hot. Maybe I should consider sleeping in the living room. There's aircon at least. But then again, there's also night-crawlers......and rats. Hhmmm... or I can try sleeping in the toilet. Water particles to keep me cool...

Damn it. I am gonna be in this h-o-t situation for 5 days. 5 long days! Stupid aircon.

HOT. HOT. HOT. And my sorethroat is back. Great. Just great. All the bad stuffs come at once.

Dessert.

Made chocolate cake and strawberry jello today. Both was a success!! And yummy too. Jun, you are not the only person who can bake!

Another month, another beginning. July's here and June's gone. The time passes so fast. TOO fast!

Hellboy's class was a bore. As usual. We were practically counting down the powerpoint slides he prepared!
