Questionnaires.

I think today is the most productive day ever. Sad isn't it? 2 months of internship and the most productive day only came today. Helped Caroline set questions for an upcoming "focus group". Got Jennette to help. Brain got kinda rusty but we still managed. Came out with lotsa questions and after few drafts, Caroline brought me to see the strategic planner, Arindam, to finalise the questions. Did the necessary changes and Caroline will finalise the questions and let me know tomorrow. Was told that I will have to conduct the "focus group" and do the report as well. Will be tough and hectic, but at least, this will look good in my report and adds up to my experience! Anyway, I won't be doing it alone. Jennette will help me. :)

Went to Menara Maxis with Caroline. After the 'history', I was kinda reluctant. Luckily it turned out fine. She taught me some stuffs I needed to know about the industry. Told her I met Clifford and she told me his nickname. Suit him very much!

It sucks. Bleggggh. I'm just so damn sleepy and the cough is very irritating. Gimme a bed now and I can just knock-out instantly.

Weekend was really really... different. Can't believe that I woke up early on Saturday and Sunday. All because of the certain 'intruder'. Ahahaha. Was really glad that you stayed over though. Serious. We should do that more often, you know. But please, bring your own bolster...

That is one huge campus! Was there to take pictures for the new Hotlink project yesterday. Thank God Chin Hooi was there to drive me around. Otherwise, I think I'll get lost inside there. Had to give some credit to Mary Ann for providing me with the map. By the time we got back to the office, it was already 6pm. Gave Nicole her camera back and we are allowed to go home. Sigh. What a day.

Couldn't access to the Internet yesterday. Had some problems with the telephone line. Sheesh. What else is new. I couldn't send my journal to Vicky on time, twice, because of the stupid line.

Have you ever had a guest who took part of your bedroom, stole your bolster, sleep with your quilt, wear your pyjamas and complained that the room is too cold? I had one yesterday. Will have one today. And tomorrow. Nice, isn't it? Havent had such guest for a very long time.

Made some enquiries for some Christmas dinner for BBDO and Maxis. Called up CoChine Restaurant and Bar Savanh. Talked to Reynold and got him to fax the menus over. This job was dumped to me by Terence. Sigh. Who else. He is always giving me all the shitty work. Photocopy. Scan. Run downstairs to pass something to someone. Thank god he's not my mentor. Serious. I'll just bang my head to the wall and let myself bleed to death. It has been a few times whereby he promised me to bring me to WIPs, brainstorms and stuffs, but it just never happen.

Wrote 2 job briefs for Nicole. Something to put into the report. Yay.

Downloaded the remaining ads from MediaBanc. Took me the whole damn day. Was halfway downloading one zipped file when the stupid power supply for the computers went off. Babi.

5pm. Nicole told me to go Menara Maxis. Crazzzzzzyyy. Not like I have a choice anyway. Nicole asked Chin Hooi to follow me since there's no one in Proximity. At least there's someone with me in the cab. Heh. Took the LRT back. Peak hour in the LRT. Interesting...

8.30pm. Crazy Bliquers. Crashed into Yen Ling's house and demanded her to join Cyndi and I for a drink. Hehehe. Surprised? It was fun, no doubt. We need to do it again soon.

Anyway, just as I expected, work came in around 4.30pm. Sigh. Had to do some printing but the stupid Xerox had some problem. I had to stand there and keep pressing the 'Interrupt' button so the printing will proceed. 15 pages, for goodness sake! Do you have any idea how long it took me????

Next, I took some time to download ads off MediaBanc. I suspected something when the file I needed to download is only 2.3MB when there's about 3 mpeg files. Anyway, I just let it download. And you know what file I got in the end? Some McDonald's tvc. Wtf?! Wasted my time. Had to start all over again. The problem, obviously, was from MediaBanc. Grrrr... As it is I was rushing to finish everything by 6pm, all the problems had to arise.

Did I mention Li Mei had to OT? Sigh. Why is it that after you made plans, something would happen and make your plans screw up? Li Mei calls it the 'irony of life'.

Picked Cyndi from her house and head to Salmon Steak Restaurant in SS15, Subang with Li Mei. Dinner with Yen Ling and Eric. Blegh. The stupid restaurant was closed. @#$#^& We ended up in Dave's Deli at Sunway Pyramid.

Shared a packet of fruit rojak with Nicole. Well, we were sitting next to each other, trying to complete the damn powerpoint. Found out that she's my senior! Ex-IACT. IAA29. Eeeee... old. Hahahaha. She asked if I'm interested to help her. *blank look* She said she's looking for an Account Executive and told me to call her after I graduate. Oh wow. No way I'm going back to BBDO after I graduate. Unless she quit BBDO and head to other agencies... Come onnnn... I'm allergic to BBDO! I don't wanna go back there and let the 'nightmare of internship' attack me again! The people are nice. They are fine. It's just that the environment is not the one I've been expecting...

Today was a FA day. Nothing new. Just running around for Nicole. Declined to do halfday of receptioning. :p Jennette had to do the whole day.

7pm. Helped Proximity with the Mini sponsored, Looque International premier at Frangipani, Changkat Bukit Bintang. It was fun, I think.... Saw lotsa people. Models, celebrities, rich man/woman, CEOs, etc. The whole event was an experience for me. Definitely.

Intan brought homemade cakes and cookies for the office today. Sinful chocolate cake, chocolate cookies, pineapple tarts and fruit cake. She said she baked it herself. It was really good. Can't imagine her, the AD, baking though...

Back from Singapore yesterday. Internet was still down. Thank god it was fine now. Thought the router was toasted. Sigh.

Journey back from Singapore was LONG. Traffic jam and Charmaine's super loud cry. Sigh. Babies. Looking at how my sister-in-law handled her, I can really really see how hard it was for my mom to bring up 5 of us back then.

Finally! The day is over! A typical morning. Ran around with FA boards, organized some newspapers, MSN. Was told by Nicole that I need to go out to shoot pictures of DiGi and Celcom ads. All the ads that I could find. Chin Hooi can't make it so I had to call Li Mei. Poor Jennette. She had to replace me for the receptioning. Sorry la. Got a business card today. Nicole's. Hahahaha. It's a good sign...

Didn't want to ditch you but I had no choice. Tried my best to help you before I leave but you chose to 'merajuk' instead. Sigh. *childish* :p

Went to TTDI, Uptown (I miss college!), SS2 and Sea Park to track down the billboards and buntings. Stopped at Sri Hartamas, hoping to find some table-top ads. None. Got back to the office at 5.45pm, just in time for the focus group. What the hell... it got cancelled last minute. I wanna earn that RM50!! Uploaded the pictures into the computer and threw it into Nicole's folder and uploaded it to the ftp. Helped Caroline with the delivery orders (again).

Everyone is in the holiday mood. Everyone is so cheerful. Terence will be going to Singapore too. Hope I don't bump into him!

4 hours of receptioning today. It was fine. Many calls came it so it wasn't really that boring. Jennette had to take over me at around 10am plus because Nicole needed to me do some FA thing for her. After that, helped Caroline with the despatch stuffs. Was running around the office trying to get the despatch guy to send over her materials. It had to be at the respective place by 12pm and by the time Caroline settled the items, it was already around 10.45am. One was to ASTRO, one was to NTV7. 2 worlds apart. How to send 2 items to the respective places in 1 hour?? She told me to send it for her but thank god, at the end, the despatch managed to do it for me. Phewww. Can't imagine myself taking the damn cab and travel to Glenmarie then to Bukit Jalil.

My shift was over at 1pm. Got back to my place and waited for work to come. Got some FAs from Nicole and had to brief Tay and Zok. Yew Meng called me on my handphone. Surprise surprise. He needed me to help him to do some research on the private colleges' semester break. Time to open my phone book and start hunting for friend's studying in various colleges...

Told Anne that 3 of us are on leave on Friday. She freaked out. "Who is sitting at the reception then?!" Gulp. It's too late for her to get a replacement so she had to ask Chin Hooi. Thank god he's not taking leave. Sorry lar, dude. It'll be fun. :p

Phewwwwww. Luckily nothing happened. Almost had a shock of my life when she came in and called me. Thought I'll just die there and then. I'm sure Chin Hooi felt my tension as I was grabbing his arm really hard. Thanks god she was professional. When she asked me to send the DAT tape, I thought she meant, "Go, take a cab and send this over". I took my bag and walk up to her and asked if she wants me to go now. She looked at me, surprised and said, "No! Give it to the despatch!" Aikk... malu. I should just stop being paranoid.

Besides the 'drama' in the morning, the day passed rather calmly. Had occasional jokes and chat with Nicole. She offered me a baby carrot. Hahahaha. Felt like a bunny on that moment. 6pm. Terence asked me to follow him to Pusat Bandar Damansara to buy kuih for the clients who are coming for a meeting. Met up with Yen Ling. Thank god for her otherwise I'll have to stand there alone, holding a bag of KFC (for Nicole and Intan, the AD) and wait for Terence to come and pick me.

My turn for receptioning tomorrow. 4 hours straight. According to Jennette, morning is the peak hour. Everything comes in and calls are non stop. Oh wow. How fun.

Dimsum at Concorde Hotel. Yum yum. Was hoping that we could have it at KL Hilton so I don't have to travel to KL Sentral. Sigh. Things just don't always go the way you wanted.

Lunch was kinda good. Tze Wan came over and picked Jenn, Li Mei and I to Pusat Bandar Damansara to have lunch with Yen Ling. It was raining heavily and Yen Ling and I were drenched. Why? 'Cos I had to walk over to Wisma Milenium to get Yen Ling with the umbrella. Anyway, Tze Wan, you're the best! Hehehehe. Love ya. :p

Whole body is aching now because of yesterday's futsal and I'm super cold now because of the rain and aircond. Not to mention that I'm also very sleepy.

Futsal.

Didn't do much in office. Helped Terence with a letter and helped Nicole with FAs. Tagged along with Chin Hooi to BMW Malaysia's office in Cyberjaya. First time in Cyberjaya. Such a nice place. We took about 2 and a half hours and by the time we got back, it was 4.30pm. Jennette was missing. She went off to Shah Alam in a cab, sending materials to NTV7 and Channel 9 for Caroline. Hahahaha. She's under KFC, but working for Maxis. Hmmmm... maybe she should start shifting department. :p

Chin Hooi and I went to play futsal with our colleagues at Strike-5 in Seksyen 14. First time playing. It was fun, but tiring. Imagine, 6 girls chasing after a ball in a futsal court. Die or not. Funny thing was Diana (Proximity's Senior AM) came 5 minutes before the game ends.... and she can't kick the ball for nuts. It was hilarious seeing her, Aprel (KFC's AM), Junisa and Yang (production) chasing the ball and screaming at the same time. Oh... Aprel broke a toe nail. Hahahaha! 'Siew-che'!

Anyway, I seriously no stamina. Run for 10 minutes, I felt like dying edi. Now, I'm so damn tired. Tomorrow sure damn lazy to wake up and whole body sure ache. How nice if there's no work tomorrow....

Junisa (Chin Hooi's AE) invited Jennette, Li Mei and I for futsal tomorrow. BBDO against Saatchi and Saatchi. Wwwoooohhoooo. Never played before. It will be a good experience. I hope. Unfortunately, Jennette declined the offer. She said she can't kick a ball. Hahahaha. I forced Li Mei to go because I don't wanna play alone. Besides, its a good time to interact with the staffs and meet more people (from Saatchi, maybe?)

Took leave for 12th of November. Going down to Singapore. Yay!

Nicole is getting more and more friendly. I can joke with her. The barrier is slowly being lifted. I told her I have nothing to do in the office and she mentioned that she will give me more work. She might give me some briefs to write. Yaaaay (?!). She ended the conversation with, "Don't regret ahh". Gulp. Ahhh...wtf...at least she's planning to give me a chance.

Anne (Jennifer's PA) is supposed to brief us on how to do full time receptioning tomorrow. Sigh. Here's the story. Didie, the current receptionist will be going on leave next week onwards. So Jennette, Li Mei and I will take over her place for 6 days. I tell you... they got a freelance receptionist, but they don't want to hire her. Take advantage of us to the max. So daring to let us try. Not afraid that we'll screw up the whole telephone line and all the other stuffs receptionist are supposed to do. Grrrrrrr. Hate BBDO! We are not getting paid and we are being made a slave. Blegh.

Helped Pebble with a Maxis mock-up and helped Chin Hooi to fold the Mini folders. Jennette and I was too bored. We were helping everyone and anyone who needs help. The computer died on us. Stupid old junk. It hangs all the time and when I restart the junk, the monitor will have this 'no input service' thingy floating around the screen then the CPU just shuts off. Called Chris Chow, the IT guy but he didn't turn up to repair the computer. Blardy hell. Can't they just change the computers? It's damn old. 15" monitor. Windows 98. No speakers. The softwares and applications are damn old too.

Today is just so weird. I didn't have anything to do the whole damn day until 5.45pm when Nicole called me on my handphone. She was away for a recording so she need to me do some correction on the FA boards. Checked her email while talking to her on the phone. Ran in and out to the ArtShop to brief Tay and Chiang. Made mistakes on the brief and had to run over to Chiang to correct it and apologised. Sent email to client and had to wait for Nicole to get back. Mom was waiting downstairs until 7pm.

Chatted briefly with Jennifer, BBDO Malaysia's CEO in the lift. A really nice and friendly person.

Oh, Jennette and I went to the finance department to ask about our allowance. We are not getting paid. Dad said it's okay. Most importantly is I'm learning something. I agree. :)
