Scratch.

The great thing about watching drama is well, the drama. Besides that, it is also the soundtrack that was used. When I was watching Smallville previously, I managed to get some really great songs out of that. Songs from singers/bands I never knew they existed. Now I've got this song from Grey's Anatomy stuck in my head:

Scratch : Kendall Payne

It's a big girl world now
Full of big girl things
And everyday I wish I was small
I've been counting on nothing
But he keeps giving me his word
And I am tired of hearing myself speak
Do you ever get weary?
Do you ever get weak?
How do you dream
When you can't fall asleep?

I've been wondering what you're thinking
And if you like my dress tonight?
Would you still say you love me
Under this ordinary moonlight?
I'm so afraid of what you'll say.

Chorus
I'd like to know if you'd be open
To starting over from scratch
I'd like to know if you'd be open
To giving me a second chance

I used to think I was special
And only I have proved me wrong
I thought I could change
The world with a song
But I have ended up in India
With no lamp to guide me home.
The strangest place I think
I have ever been
And all this time
I thought that we were friends
My stubborn will is learning to bend.

Chorus
I'd like to know if you'd be open
To starting over from scratch
I'd like to know if you'd be open
To giving me a second chance

I'd like to know if you'd be open
To starting over from scratch
I'd like to know if you'd be open
To giving me a second chance

It's a big girl world now
Full of big girl things

Nicee.

Attended one of the two weddings that I was invited to today. I must say it was a simple yet elegant affair! Congratulations to the newlyweds! By the way, dear bride, all the butt-touching must have been fun!

On a totally different topic, was it just me or the weather has became much warmer? I don't feel the cold air from my aircond and my fan is actually giving me warm air! Maybe I should just start sleeping naked. That should keep me cool...

And Jun, if you are reading this, where the hell have you been???!

Investment.

This is what I just invested for Mount Kinabalu; a waterproof Timberland hiking boots I got from Parkson at 30% off. Even after the discount, it was still abit pricey. But then again, this is something I need because I had histories of spraining my left ankles (3 times!) and I hope this boots will prevent that from happening when I am at Mount K.

To avoid blisters and difficulties when I hike, I asked my mom to help me with the 'shoe-breaking ceremony', i.e, wear them and loosen the leathers. Since my mom goes to the hill every morning, I thought it was the best and quickest way to season the boots. She came home after the walk today and the boots gave her a blister the size of a 50sen coin!

Whoops! Sorry, mom!

Reunion?

Su Yi called me on my mobile the other day and asked if I know about any class reunion that was being organized. Well, it will be great if someone actually organizes it and all I have to do is attend and pay a little money but nope, no news of that reunion yet.

With Julie back from US , I've been meeting up alot with her, Suet May, Supriya and Pang lately. And I heard Preeta is coming back from London this Sunday so I'll probably meet up with them again. It's a great feeling because I hardly keep in touch with Beta-rians ever since we left school yet they still remember to call me when they are meeting up.

We gossiped about our ex-teachers and I found out that a teacher had liposuction while another was arrested, etc etc...

Weddings.

It must be a great year to hand out 'red bombs' as I have received two already. The one on the left is from my buddy, whom I've met in high school and the other is from a good friend I've met in college. One in Sarawak, one in KL. Niceee

This is the first time that I have actually received wedding invitations and of course I'll be looking forward for both ceremonies.

Barbie!

I feel extremely weird to revert to English posts!

Anyway, I've organized a small gathering for a few of my school mates last Saturday. Tried calling everyone in my contact list but it seems like everyone is busy with everything under the roof. Oh well.

It was really nice to catch up with everybody. And come to think of it, some of us have actually known each other since kindergarten! It was really an 'achievement' worth mentioning because many of us are still keeping in touch with each other.

Sungguh Menarik!

Selepas mengunjungi laman blog rakan-rakan saya, saya terasa seronok juga jika saya cuba mengarang utusan blog saya dalam Bahasa Malaysia. Nampak senang, tetapi sebenarnya agak susah! Nasib baik saya masih mempunyai Kamus Dewan Bahasa!

Bahasa kebangsaan bukan milik warganegara Melayu sahaja. Oleh itu, Bahasa Malaysia akan menyemai perasaan kepunyaan (sense of belonging)." (www.thebintang.com.saya) Saya berasa ini adalah langkah yang wajar!

Sementara kita dalam tajuk ini (while we are in this topic), saya ingin mengatakan bahawa saya paling benci warganegara yang mengubah loghat (accent) selepas menuntut di luar negara, seolah-olahnya orang putih! Sungguh menunjuk-nunjuk! Saya faham bahawa kadang-kadang kita sebagai penuntut di luar negara terpaksa mengubah loghat supaya orang putih faham percakapan kita. Cukup adil.

Sungguh susah sekali! Sila beri tunjuk ajar!

Your hob?

Or mine?

It was a pretty interesting topic to be discussing about, especially since it happened quite a few years back. Something really funny happened that particular day and I am sure if I ever post about it in detail, someone will probably have to kill me.

Whatever it is, only one person can clarify what happened and where. We both know who to ask...
