ありがとうございます (Yohei, I hope those are correct! Or else, blame Google)

We're hitting Kuala Lumpur's Japanese market, baybeh!

Chances are you don't know what is written (me included) but Yohei said its good stuffs, so... thanks, Yohei, for checking the copy :)

This is on the latest issue of Panora (Vol.150), a free Japanese language paper in Kuala Lumpur.

Great, just great.

I think my luck changed since going, while in and coming back from Hong Kong. Few days before I left, I discovered my wrist inflammation injury is back. It hurts at certain positions and definitely a bane for my work. Then while in HK, I bruised my left leg from someone's egg roll tin. It hurts cos it whacked onto my bone.

The trip back home was generally safe but 2 days ago, my nose-bleeding problem came back. Since then, I've been showering with some blood dripping to my toes. Sorry, had to illustrate a little.

Then came today, a hattrick for stress and coffee. Although I work in a cafe, I rarely have more than 2 cuppa but today calls for a 3rd. First thing in the morning my staff told me our water meter was stolen. Great, I was supposed to make a police report and a Syabas report for the incident but thankfully, reconfirmation helped me solved the problem - it wasn't our meter that got stolen. Nice. Cuppa no. 1

After the meter problem were solved, I realised that the cash register wasn't functioning. Troubleshooting with the technician didn't help as he couldn't solve it too. Apparently ours is the first case and he was actually surprised that our machine is still alive after 4 years. WTF. So we had no cash register and it was back to basic for us - manual cashing. Cuppa no. 2, thank you.

Cuppa no.3 was totally unnecessary but I had to because I didn't manage to take a quick nap before my outlet manager urgently called me back to help him close - the barista was having bad period cramps and had to leave.

Oh, I forgot to mention that in between, I bumped my right thigh on the side of the sink and bruised it a little. If I was given a choice, I wouldn't be having 3 cuppa, but 3 shots. Quick F, oh I need you so much now.

EDIT: And I bumped my head on the concrete slab 2 days ago and built a 5bedroom bungalow on top of my head that Yi Fan's (permanent guest room!) super bruise cream cannot even heal. I love my life at this very moment.

I Love Holidays!

the legendary street vendor curry fishballs and waffle balls

My annual pilgrimage to Hong Kong is happening tomorrow! Sorry, Meiyinkong. I couldn't wait :)

Usually, our HK trip consist of only a handful (or less) people but this time it's 8 of us in total. It's gonna be a rainy trip, unfortunately. We are gonna visit our reliable dried seafood supplier in Sheung Wan whom we have been giving him business every year for over 20 years and EAT! Food glorious food.

Also, I'm planning to meet up with Kate and Eva, both who happens to be there for an exhibition. It's gonna be cool!

Enlightened.

Finished reading Sun Yaoting's autobiography today. I was not familiar with Chinese history but after reading the book, I gained quite some insights on Imperial China. Because of poverty, many young boys were forced to castrate themselves (often by their own father) in hope to enter the palace to eventually wait on Pu Yi, the last emperor. Eunuchs are not as oppressed as I thought. Most of them lived a tough life while serving their masters in the Forbidden City but many of them did enjoy wealth and had a flamboyant lifestyle after leaving the palace.

The toughest thing about reading this book is trying to remember the names of all the eunuchs mentioned. Put in a little effort to remember and you'll have an interesting reading experience!

Now, I am gonna hunt for Pu Yi's From Emperor to Citizen autobiography.

Move over, Fictions!

The book that I've been waiting for since reading the article on The Star a while back.

I bought 2 new fictions prior to this but guess those will have to wait now!

Sigh.

Don't you hate it when you are just about to soak in the holidays and then poof! you realise tomorrow you'll be back to work. I'm not gonna complain about my working hours/days as it is never-ending anyway. Instead, I shall talk more about the 2 days I got thanks to Malaysia and Departure Lounge. Hahaha

Independence Day gave me something I longed to have since I started working, kinda. Dimsum with family! I seriously don't remember when was the last time we went out for it. I mean, we do family dinner most of the time but it's just different being able to have breakfast for a change. It wasn't too busy in downtown KL as I believe everyone had either gone for a vacation or simply went back to their hometown. It's a long weekend and if I was given a choice, I would've fly to somewhere!

And speaking of flying, no, I am not going anywhere yet. I am just thinking. I mean, what's the point if you work work work and then when the holiday comes, you sit at home? My travel list is always expanding but my wallet is not quite :( Working out on a priority travel list and so far it include countries/places like Taiwan (Hi, Kate!), Bangkok (Chatuchaaaaaakkkkk!!), Korea and of course Japan (don't kill me!). Hey, I need to travel in order to provide advice to my customers ;p

All the past travel resulted in tons of printed photos. Digital copies are fine but I've always preferred to print out the photos for just in case situations. I could no longer purchase my favourite adhesive photo albums from Jusco One Utama and I have no idea why. That sucks 'cos all the photos were scattered, unorganized and unlabeled. My saviour came in the form of Jusco Mid Valley, hahaha. They have the photo albums in stock and believe me, when I say I borong, I borong. So that's how I spend my 2nd day (today). Bought 'em albums and with all joy, sorted all the photos.

Looking back at those photos stirred my travel itch. I NEED to go somewhere. Period.
