LASIK.

Been thinking of LASIK for a couple of years already. Each time when I had to prescribe a new pair of glasses, I told myself I have to go for it because the new glasses simply cost too much!

The surgery does not come cheap, ranging from RM3k - RM5k but at least its cheaper than getting new glasses every few years. 4 person in my family had gone for LASIK and as far as I am concerned, the result has been great.

My only worry? My eyes are not quite stable yet. It appears that my eyesight kept getting worse each time I get it checked!!

Tomatoes? Nooooooo!!

Had a tomato overload birthday dinner (not for me!) just awhile ago at Porto Romano TTDI. It's funny how when you call up to make a reservation for two and they automatically allocate a table at the corner for you, apparently the most romantic and private area.

I hate it when I have to order food when I am super hungry. Everything seems so delicious and mouth-watering! Yes, we ordered way too much and being an Italian cuisine, tomatoes are naturally in every dish. Except in my French onion soup. Seriously tomato overload. And I don't even like tomatoes!

Food was alright but the highlight of the night was the ripping of the marble slab. Hope you really really do like it. I feel so shy :/ Happy Birthday!

And I came back home to discover that my area has no electricity for a whole 1 hour. What a nice way to end the night.

Long Wait.

It took me 1 month of constant nagging reminder to finally get the files of the remaining photos taken in Melbourne.

No, no, please don't get me wrong. I understand that you are a little slow in the memory department so it's ok :p

Great fun. Wished I was there longer!

Good Times.

It's probably healthier but I really really miss those crazy drinking in Auckland. I am speaking for my partners-in-crime too and you know who you are.

It was a time when we could drink without worrying so much about how to get home, who is driving, what's the cost and what would happen.

It sounded as if we were hardcore drinkers but no, we weren't. We were responsible and caring people ;p

Local NZ beers were cheap, unlike the ones here where brewed locally foreign brands cost almost double. Local NZ wine was affordable, tasted darn good and easily available.

I've cut down on drinking ever since coming back and that is a good thing. Not that I've been drinking alot back in those days but I'll admit, it's more than I've ever drank in my lifetime before NZ. Bad influence from Yohei people, you see.

Those days are never coming back but memories remains. Good times :)

Chocolate Guinness Cake with Bailey's Cream Cheese Frosting.

I am never a big fan of baking because I find the measurement of ingredients part a hassle. It's like it has to be perfectly correct otherwise it won't turn out right! You can use your feelings when you cook but not for baking :(

Having said that, there's this cake recipe I always wanted to try out, not because it seemed easy to make but because it sounds tasty too!

So I finally did it. It wasn't too hard to make but I had to prolong the suggested baking time maybe cos' my oven is underpowered!

Cake came out slightly crusty but inside is 'ok moist'. Since it's my first time baking from scratch, I would say that it's edible!

(-_-)

What's up with the weather lately? Few days ago it was raining and now its the 3H - hot, humid & hazy. I can feel the sweat trickling down my forehead and my back while typing this post in my room, with the fan on high speed.

Ran some errands today before committing myself to full, back2back, 13 hours shifts from tomorrow until Sunday. As it is that we're short of staffs, but what can you do when your employee had to take days off to tend to his sick mother and sit for exams?

Planning to get back to playing squash as soon as I manage to secure a court. Can't remember when exactly but my memory keeps going back to the day that I sprained my ankle as the last time I played. It was a major sprain, as I recall, with sound effects, tears and bucketloads of sweat. Oh, it was painful. So painful. And I had to endure the similar pain again at the Chinese orthopedic.

Went to Casa Tropicana to check out squash court my apartment unit and the allocated parking spaces. It was nice, the parking spaces I mean. The unit is normal, looks exactly the same as the last time I saw it. Duh.

Ultimately, I went to the management office and found out that they have courts for tennis, badminton, basketball but NOT squash. WTF. It's a blardy expensive condominium complex with 4 blocks and they don't have a single squash court?! Even that rundown apartment my dad has in Port Dickson have 2 courts! That's it la. I am selling that stupid place and put all the money and more into this.

I wish.
