Ah, home.

what's this place called?

One week of CNY is already gone. Got back from freezing Osaka/Kyoto/Kobe yesterday evening and immediately felt the temperature difference. It's nice to be able to walk around in t-shirts and shorts as compared to bulky winter clothes!

The trip was nice but unfortunately, its forgettable because we joined a Taiwanese tour group. We don't know if that's how tour operators operate in Taiwan but we find it a major rip off. It costs a bomb and the tour guide (who didn't guide at all!) was plain useless and uninformative. He complains alot about everyone being not punctual and every sightseeing locations are limited to at max, 1hour. And he didn't ever bother explaining about the stuffs we see! I could go on and on about the negatives. Ate more western food than Japanese food (!!), sat in bus more than sightseeing (sigh), slept more than shop (thankfully, we arrived a day earlier than the group and managed to shop/spree in Rinku!).

And then there were some lame locations, which, sad to say, I have already forgotten by now. If I only knew, I would've gone to Tokyo, visit obasan and that guarantees that I'll have a unforgettable time!

Or I would've gone to India with only RM1500 in my pocket. LOL. If that ever happens, it'll surely be unforgettable!

Roaring New Year!

It was a very very long wait but it's finally here. Last year we skipped our annual CNY open house because we opted for Hokkaido trip instead. The trip was fun but it lacks the CNY spirit because we left on the 1st day. When we finally came back from the trip, friends and relatives complained because they apparently had no where to gather.

This year, the open house is back on. I don't think we'll ever skip it again considering that it was kinda like the glue that binds all my relatives together. It was definitely a fun filled day with lotsa food, whites, beers, cheers, and gambling. Sadly though, good times passes real fast. It's gonna be another year wait for the next CNY open house.

Friends who came, thank you! Appreciated your attendance. Hope you enjoyed the angpau food and drinks. And apologies if my cousins silly gambling antics scared any of you :p

Clean(er).

I've finally built up enough strength for spring cleaning after coming back empty-handed from spending half the day trying to buy something for CNY. I didn't manage to get new clothes so I shall recycle what I have in my cupboard. And since I didn't spend any money in KL, I get to splurge in Rinku next Wednesday! Not entirely a bad thing :D~

After clearing all the clutters on my table, I'm amazed that it is actually quite spacious. LOL. The space is no longer limited to 13in x 9in (my laptop size) and I can finally see my table from end to end. Cleared my shelves, boxed unnecessary dust collectors decorative items and dumped it up up and away in my cupboard, somewhere I can only access with a 7ft step ladder. I've cut down decorative items on the shelves to the minimal, especially cup-like items because I discovered lotsa bee carcasses in them.

Oh, did I ever mention that my lights are infested with bee carcasses? When the bees are alive, they are pretty harmless. It buzzes around early in the morning, somewhat like an alarm clock to annoy wake me up. I have no idea how they got into my room as the windows are tightly shut. My room and bathroom kept getting darker because more and more bees are taking up residency in the lights, though all of them ended up fried from the heat!

I hope I didn't gross you out :D

Wine and Dine.

It's a tradition to have a company annual dinner prior to Chinese New Year as a symbol of gratitude to the employees' hard work throughout the year. It's kinda like the 'end of (lunar) year party', actually.

Departure Lounge had its 3rd annual dinner on Monday at a Summer Palace restaurant in Damansara Utama, just opposite Tropicana City Mall. It was a night filled with good food, good drinks, silly karaoke, Monday night (!!) clubbing and hilarious video recordings! Fortunately, we had the next day off so we had lots more fun than previous years.

For days leading to the dinner, my colleagues threaten to make me drunk. But guess who showed off too much?

need more training and experience

I'll never give them the pleasure of watching me make a fool out of myself. Not especially when I am suppose to manage them at work. They will never take me seriously! So all I had to do was invite someone who drinks like a camel alot to back me up ;)
