Called my mom and told her about my plan to go Edinburgh but was flatly rejected instead. She doesn't allow me to go alone and wanted me to go with her instead. I don't know when is that. But I told her that I don't really want to go with her :p

And she changed topic. "Oh, that Turkish coffee thingy has a long handle and a cup-like thing attached to it?"

I forgotten to ask about climbing Mount Kinabalu though.

Hiking.

Since I was literally 'forced' into hiking Mount Kinabalu this coming August with Jun and Nik, I took the initiative to read up on 'God's Mountain' (translated from Chinese - Sun Saan) just to see what to expect.

Never underestimate the mountain - Okaaay. After my experience with Fox Glacier, I truly understand that.

Talked to my cousin who hiked Mount Kinabalu but did not ascend to the summit because she was too tired. Sheesh. Her advice? Start working out. Well, she don't have to tell me twice.

Down Memory Lane.

Nostalgia struck me today. I got home and started to search high and low for old photos, cards and other stuffs.

I cringed looking at the old primary and high school photos. So dorky! Oh God, whatever happened to all of us!

I still keep most of the cards my friends gave to me. Most of them are Chinese New Year cards and of course, some birthday cards too (Jun, I still have some cards you gave me!).

Since I've brought the 6" ladder into my room, I might as well have a look at my collection of keyrings.

I am impressed with the amount of keyrings I have collected throughout the years!

Mochi.

For a moment, I thought the guy were going to bludgeon the girl to death with that funny looking club...

Obviously, Yohei Osada is trying to annoy me with this picture of his relatives (I assume) making mochi.

He knew I wanted to have freshly made mochi and soba. Especially when it's being made from scratch by his grandmother. How authentic can food gets????????

Slayer?

More than 1 year ago, I purchase 4 seasons worth of Buffy the Vampire Slayer DVD Boxset from Amazon. I never really get to watch everything.

Out of the blue, I realised that maybe I shouldn't be letting those DVDs rot in my drawer. It cost me a bomb (nevermind the fact that Amazon sent me another 4 boxsets as replacement for 'lost in mail') and I am not gonna let fungi grow on them.

So for the past few nights, I've been watching 'em. Till late.

These Buffy shows are considered ancient in television years but hey, I am still looking forward to pop the DVDs into my player and lay cosily on my bed on recent nights, wondering how it will go between the Scooby Gang, Buffy and Angel, and the undead.

Whoooooops!

Just a couple of days ago, I accidentally kicked my dad's porcelain dalmation statue off the ledge.

I broke 2 legs and chipped some toes. My maid laughed and said I killed my dad's dog. Whoops... didn't mean to. My mom hid the legs in some cabinet until I managed to get fixed.

Thank goodness for a wonderful creation called super glue.

Flawless! Now just hope my dad don't reposition the doggie... I betcha he's so gonne freak out!

Stink.

About 2 weeks ago, the sewerage chamber in my cafe overflowed. Apparently, the chamber pipes were stucked with rubbish and all sorts. The missing manhole cover contributed alot to the situation as well. :/

Thankfully, we managed to get IWK to get it fixed and now its all clear! The stench is gone (yay!) and we can finally reopen the ladies toilet.

Quickie.

By now, most of you might already know that the internet is freaking slow because of the earthquake in Taiwan. I couldn't contact my friend in Taiwan. Hopefully she's okay.

By the way, Happy New Year 2007!

I celebrated the new year in Shanghai. It was fun, as I have never celebrated new year in a foreign country. Would love to post some pictures but I guess the internet is too slow for that now.

Been busy with work lately. Brother is due to come home from his honeymoon next week. By then, I think I would have more time to do stuffs I wanted to do.

Getting late. Gotta head to bed now!
