Lost.

Yep. I got lost in Penang while trying to look for the Him Heang biscuit shop. Jun drove to somewhere else and I drove to somewhere else. Got directions from Tze Wan and I am supposed to 'lead' Jun to the place. In the end, she found the place first and I got lost with Chia May (-_-")

Penang drivers are g.a.n.a.s. (peace, Tze Wan). Thank God I am too. Hahahahaha. The more they don't let me out of the junction or change lanes, the more I jut out. Kalau berani, langgar la! I think I almost frighten Chia May to death when I 'blocked' the traffic at the Gurney roundabout to let Jun pass and at this junction where I forced my way out. Remember, Chia May? :D

Year 2006 is just about 28 minutes away. Was at my cousin's place for a 'gathering' earlier. So dead tired now so I am staying at home, rest and spend my new year with 'chau gong'.

To all you folks out there, I wish ya all a very Happy New Year!!

If you didn't know already, I am flying off exactly 1 month from today. Sigh.

Yo!

Ngor fan lei laaaaaaaa (I am back)!!!!

I hate it when time passes really fast when I am enjoying life. Christmas in Hong Kong is mad. Everywhere I turn, I see human. It was superbly crowded. While my mom and my bro was in the hotel sleeping, me and my dad went to Canton Road for the Christmas countdown. Coincidentally, a Hong Kong band called Grasshoppers were there as well for a performance + countdown. Call it my luck! Besides Grasshoppers, there were Ron Ng and NIKI CHOW! Well, from my place, I can only see a peanut-sized Niki Chow but what the heck! Better than nothing.

On Christmas Day itself, we were walking about in Harbour City doing some last minute shopping. Me and my bro was nicely walking and we saw Chapman To (this guy from Infernal Affairs, Initial-D etc) and his wife walking towards us and went into a boutique. First time seeing celebrities so casually. :D

Lounge.

Aaaaaaaaahhhh. The bliss of business class.

Had light breakfast at the KLIA Cathay Pacific Lounge few minutes ago. Nothing special. Just some baked beans, scrambled eggs and french toast. I was told that they will be serving food "non-stop" on the flight so I am trying not too eat too much now.

Had just received my New Zealand accomodation contract. Just in time! Thank God for the free internet access they provide here at the lounge.

The place I am sitting here is freaking hot. Directly under the spotlight. Since I am sweating like a pig now, I shall sign off and head to a cooler place. See you folks soon!

Winterfest.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Life's pretty boring lately (explains the lack of post). Purchased Hong Kong Disneyland tickets online an hour ago. Wasn't planning to go but dad insisted so I had to purchase the tickets in advance. HK$1400 (RM700) for 4 blardy adult admission! Talk about daylight robbery!! If only we can make it on 23rd December, it'll save us about RM120. Naturally and obviously, 24th is the peak time, hence more money.

So here's the itinerary:

22th, arriving at Hong Kong Chek Lap Kok International Airport. Then we're taking the ferry (I think) to Macau. Spending a night there at Holiday Inn Hotel. The last time I went to Macau, I was about 2 or 3 years old I think. Don't remember much except the trademark landmark of Macau, which I don't know what it is called in English. :/

23rd, back to Hong Kong and there's where the fun begins! Shop shop shop shop shoppppppppp!! Eat eat eat eat eattttttt!! Wong Kok Char Chan Teng and Kim Gary, they suck big time, you know. Any char chan teng in Hong Kong serve better food then them! Being winter, the long-awaited Chinese waxed meat rice in claypot is back! Muahahahaha! I can still taste the one I had 2 years ago... yummy!

24th, heading to Disneyland first thing in the morning. Probably gonna spend few hours there and that's it. It's Christmas eve, baybeh! There's so many things to do and see in Hong Kong on Christmas eve! The best thing is when they close the "main" streets and human beings literally pours out onto the streets! Gonna be a freaking crowded day, I tell ya! Will snap some photos, if possible.

25th, we always leave Hong Kong on Christmas day so this is the first time we'll be there on Christmas day itself. I suppose its gonna be a quiet day on the street because of previous night's partying! Maybe we'll head to Kowloon Tong (not for those pleasure seeking entertainments!) and burn some ringgits shopping at Festive Walk Shopping Centre. Bought some pre-packed curry fishball from the supermarket there on my previous trip to Hong Kong and it tasted surprisingly good! Going back for more!! :p

26th is gonna be bye-bye. Back to reality. Sigh.

The best thing about this trip (besides the celebrations) is going to be the flight journey. We're flying business class, baybeeeeh!!! Well, if we had a choice we'll fly economy class, obviously. Its just a 3 hour 15 minutes flight anyway. But my dad (sigh) tend to make last minute decisions and he thinks he owns the plane. He thinks that there's always flight tickets waiting for him and all he has to do is just call up and confirm. He never learns though. He must be pretty desperate this time around. Otherwise he won't agree to fly business class! Thankfully, Cathay Pacific is having the buy 1 free 1 promotion so we just had to buy 2 tickets and get the other 2 for free!

One day break in between and I'll head to Penang with Jun, Jonny, Emma and maybe Su Yi on 28th. Road trip!!!!!! Gonna be fun!

Once January comes, I have to really prepare for New Zealand. Take note, friends. I AM LEAVING ON 31st JANUARY 2006. Will be flying off with my parents. We're touring New Zealand before stopping in Auckland. Tell me, somebody, anybody, how do I travel with all my luggages?!

Reunion?

Friend's birthday party is the best time for me to catch up with other high school friends whom I lost contact with ever since I left school. Caught up with a few of them at Mary Ann's party today. One is in Adelaide doing dentistry and another two is doing acccountancy in Kedah and Sunway College respectively. I think the next time I talk to them, we'll all be working adults already...

Birthday Gift.

My mom is celebrating her birthday this coming Sunday and we are bringing her to KL Hilton for a buffet dinner. Like every other year, we children crack our heads thinking of things to buy for her. Being a mother who has everything, it gets pretty hard, you know. Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Rolex, BMW, diamond or holiday packages? She would love 'em all but we children cannot afford to buy any one of that abovementioned items!!

This year is 'new handphone year'. Mom bought me and my fourth brother a new handphone each and she'll get another for my third brother soon. Proud of our new 2.0 megapixel camera phones, we often take it out and snap photos. Sometimes I think the flash from our phones blinded our own eyes. Here we are 'showing' off our new phones and not realising that our mother is still using the Nokia 8310, which I gave to her when she bought me a Sony Ericsson T610 two years back has turned really old and cracks started to appear on the casing. All of us owns a handphone with a camera, even my dad (although he doesn't use it)!

I don't know why I didn't think of it earlier. Gotta thank Szun, my 2nd sis-in-law for mentioning it. Went to Low Yat Plaza just now and bought our mother a spanking new handphone! With camera, of course! And it's Samsung, the brand my dad is currently using. (^_^)

Forms.

Did I ever tell anyone how much I hate filling up forms? Why must all forms be filled in capital letters? And why must all forms ask so many questions as if they are finding out about your ancestors and what not? I am having difficulties trying to fill up my New Zealand student visa application forms. Can't they just ask the question directly and not twist and turn the England? You know how they always remind you that you have to fill up the forms correctly and accurately? Well... with the bombastic England, I have to be extra careful.

Tentatively, I'll be flying off on 31st January 2006. Didn't realise its so soon until Jun mentioned it (thanks alot!). My parents is taking the opportunity to head to New Zealand for their annual Chinese New Year holiday. If everything goes according to plan, we'll reach Auckland on the 8th of February, just in time for my uni orientation on the 9th. Then they'll stay for another 2 days to accompany me.

Haven't been looking at the calendar lately. Have no idea that the clock is ticking so fast. I have yet to do my medical check-up and visa application 'cos the stupid accomodation rep from NZ is taking his sweet sweet time processing my accomodation application. I guess I better get my medical check-up done after I come back from Hong Kong. Then hopefully by then my accomodation is approved, then send in the forms to Singapore for my visa application.

Meanwhile, I need to do shopping for all my necessities!!! Waaaaaaaaaaahh!! So many things, so little time!!

Innocent.

Since I am flying off next year, I decided to follow my parents to the Section 17 wet market this morning to learn to buy vegetables and stuffs. Coincidentally, my brother and sister in law wanted to go as well. So there we were, a car-load full and off we went.

It was exceptionally jammed with cars today (according to my mother la). We soon found out why. Charmaine Sheh and Julian Cheung will be at the wet market (go figure) to do a promotional thing for Astro's chinese award ceremony due to be held next year. Though I saw the ads on Astro all the time, being not able to read Chinese, I didn't bother. But since we were there, my sis in law, brother and I decided to stay for a while and watch. :p

My eldest brother was there to. To shop, obviously but I soon found out that after buying his stuffs, he stayed and watch as well, and STOOD ON THE FIRST ROW! Somemore dare to accuse me that I came just to watch them. Honest! I am innocent! It was purely I-want-to-learn-how-to-buy-vegetables!! In the end, I didn't learn anything but saw 2 TVB stars instead. (-_-")

By the way, I called my eldest sis in law because I thought she was there as well. Manatau she was at home so she was like, "Charmaine Sheh?! At the market?! Szun (my other sis in law) is with you?! Weih! Why you both go also never call me?!" Then she called me back in a short while and said, "Eh, tell your taiko (eldest bro) to come home early. Don't stay and look at pretty girl!"

Enough.

Enough is enough. I am fucking sick and tired of people's attitude.

(-_-")

Departure Lounge has another new staff today. 17 year old girl who had just finished her SPM. Conversations with her reminds me of my teenage years. Uncertainties and insecurities. Where and how to find out about college courses... etc etc. She had also asked me a classic question. One that I have never been asked for a very very very long time.

"Who's your favourite actor?"

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!! It was like what I (or most of us) used to ask each other last time! Damn classic. For that moment, I was like... "Okaaaaaaaaaay.... confirm she just finished high school". So what's my answer? "Urrrmm, there's no specific person. I just watch anything I find it interesting". Muahahahaha! :p

Frankly, I can't really think of anyone. Hmmmmm... not Western ones-la. If you ask me the chinese wayang ones, I'll probably drown you with names. Hahahahahah!

Oh yeah, I'll be going back to Departure Lounge once in a while to help out during the peak hours (12pm - 2pm). No commitments though. My own personal things are still my priority. Will only go back when I have nothing much to do at home. :p

By the way, new menu is out. Pasta. :D

False Alarm.

Thank God it was a false alarm. My molar isn't actually 'wiggly'. Just like what my mom said, it's heatiness. :D

Been listening to Rainie Yang's cd alot these few days. Since I am a sucker for power ballads, I find this is a really a great album. I totally forgotten that I've seen one of her previous idol drama, 'Tomorrow', starring Shawn Yue (of Infernal Affairs and Initial-D fame). Rummaged my vcd collection and I found this;

An autograph by Rainie herself on the episode 1 vcd. On the episode 2 vcd, I have Shawn Yue's autograph. Got it few years back when they came over to Malaysia with the rest of the 'Tomorrow' cast for promotional tour. Back then, Shawn Yue was just a small fry. He is actually quite good-looking, you know!

And Minggy Liu, Rainie Yang is cute, in the sense that she looks more like a 'lil kid 'cos she's quite..... 'ketot'

Shit.

The one thing I hate most is the visit to the dentist. One of my molar tooth is giving me problems. Everytime I chew on something, I'll feel the 'tingy' and painful feeling on my gums. I have no idea whether its a toothache or not. Mother said its "fake-fire" (heaty) [go figure]. It's been almost 1 week already and the pain is still here. Still contemplating whether I should visit the dentist (there's a new dental clinic near Departure Lounge -_-") or not.

Hate that buzzzzzzzingggg sound every dental clinic has. Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Gives me the chill.

Actually, what I worry most is they have to remove the molar. EeeeEEeeeee! I cannot imagine myself without that molar. Like one 'lubang' in my mouth!

Now I really hope its "fake-fire"......
